Air Duct Replacement Services

The duct system in your home is a branching network of connections that delivers heated or cooled air to the different rooms. The duct system has a very important role to place in the cost, efficiency, and health of heating and cooling.

Heating and air conditioning systems get all of the credit (and blame) for comfort and efficiency, but it’s the air ducts that serve as the circulation system. You may have the best system out there, however if your ducts are bad, the system will never perform as it should.

If your duct system was installed over 20 years ago, pay particular attention to signs of duct problems. Speak with a professional HVAC technician about duct modification or replacement if you notice any of the following signs:

Tangled, Kinked, or Damaged Ducts

Take the time to conduct a thorough inspection of your duct system. Over time, ducts can get damaged and worn down. Can you see any large holes? Sections of ductwork that are separated or barely hanging on?

Sometimes, flexible ductwork section can become ripped or torn. Ductwork is also subject to damage if anything falls or weight is placed on it. If you notice bent, damaged, or tangled ducts, contact a professional right away.

Airflow and Static Pressure

If you have an airflow problem in your house, you may need to modify the supply or return side of the system. Often, we discover that a new HVAC system doesn’t fit perfectly with the existing ductwork system.

Sometimes, modifications are necessary, such as replacing plenums and grilles with larger (or smaller) ones, adding vents, and using a different filter. Often, the solution to your static pressure and air flow problems is making some adjustments to the existing duct system.

Strange Noises

Shaking, rattling, and other strange noises from your air ducts is a clear sign of damaged or dirty ductwork. Rattling and clamoring sounds usually mean the ductwork is loose and not secured well enough. If you hear a whistling sound, this is most likely the results of air pass over and through holes and air leaks. Speak with a professional about duct cleaning, sealing, and insulating.

Hot and Cold Spots

Hot and cold spots, uneven temperatures, and airflow problems can indicate improper duct sizing, unbalanced supply/return flow, leaks, or obstructions.

Improper Installation

Remember that duct systems are only one part of your overall heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation system. If your HVAC unit was improperly installed, it’s likely that your duct system was improperly sized as well.

In addition to choosing the right-sized HVAC system, it’s also important that ductwork is sized properly. Undersized ductwork can restrict airflow and cause other problems, such as higher energy bills and shorter system lifespans.

Just like heat pumps and other HVAC units, your ductwork must be properly sized and installed for maximum efficiency, airflow, and indoor air quality. If the indoor air handler is the heart, your ductwork are the arteries and veins.

What our Customers say

I absolutely 100% recommend this company to anyone who needs an honest awesome airConditioning and heating service provider! Like everyone, I was spending part of my day trying to find a provider that I wouldn't get ripped off by and would do a good job. I called a few different places and they gave me a run around then I contacted Capella and they booked me for the next day send out Ron he was amazing and got my system back up and running in no time! just to give everyone an idea of how honest and cool this company is, it turned out to just be a small dumb thing that was wrong with my system and he didn't even charge me even though he took the time out of his day to come and fix it for me. This kind of company deserves to get peoples business! Will be saving their number in my phonebook and going to be my one and only company I will be using from now on!

After moving into a new condo in Woodland Hills, our AC was over 32 years old and needed to be replaced. I found Capella on Google as one of the first companies. My husband called and set up an appointment and after seeing the different options we opted to move forward with Capella. Installation took two days and they were superb. Highly recommend if anyone needs their ac replaced. They are very reasonably priced and will definitely use in the future thank you so much

Our dryer duct was clogged creating a fire hazard. I called the company which I found on Google. I researched the company and saw they had great reviews. I called and scheduled an appointment which had to be rescheduled because the technician was running late. I was a bit perturbed because no one called me to let me know. Fast forward to Monday, met Ron who was on time and professional. He explained in easy terms what was going on and how much it would cost. He proceeded to tell me he could do the job the same which was a pleasant surprise since I thought this was only a consult.
Ron did an amazing job. He not only cleaned the duct, he went above and beyond to make sure that the filter was properly installed. He fixed the tubing directly behind the dryer which was too long, a shoddy job done by the original contractor. He made sure everything was working properly by taking his time he wasn’t in a rush at all. I forgot to mention that they gave me a good discount which made the pricing really reasonable. Ron provided his card to call for any problem or concerns. Great job Ron and thanks.
